SOMETHING WEIRD, ALTERNATIVE CINEMA, and MILL CREEK

This is a SALUTE to SOMETHING WEIRD VIDEO, ALTERNATIVE CINEMA, and MILL CREEK ENTERTAINMENT.

I can't get enough of SOMETHING WEIRD!... Hey, get your minds out of the gutter folks!... I mean, I really like a company called SOMETHING WEIRD!

They've been around for a while, and have been cranking out TONS of REALLY RARE flicks.

SOMETHING WEIRD is a CINEMATIC GOLD MINE. No, make that a PLATINUM MINE!
Their massive archive isn't just movies, they also have tons of loops, corporate films, movie theater promos, and more.

If you haven't figured it out, SOMETHING WEIRD is one of my FAVORITE video companies.

I also like ALTERNATIVE CINEMA. They've been finding a lot of EXTREMELY RARE grindhouse era films in recent years.

ALTERNATIVE CINEMA also put out their own movies, such as BITE ME!, BACTERIUM, SHOCK-O-RAMA, and MISTRESS FRANKENSTEIN.

Most companies no longer insert booklets into their DVDs. But ALTERNATIVE CINEMA does!

MILL CREEK has been UNfairly bashed over the years. But when it comes to public domain films, MILL CREEK gives you MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK than anybody else!

Many of their collections contain rare films.

They also have LICENSED movies in many of their recently released collections.

Plus, their customer service is light-years ahead of most companies! Even companies like WARNER BROS, and UNIVERSAL, can NOT compete with MILL CREEK, when it comes to customer service! I know this from personal experience.

FYI: Both SOMETHING WEIRD, and ALTERNATIVE CINEMA publish CATALOGS. These are REAL catalogs, made from genuine paper!

Before I forget, there were A LOT of companies that put out tons of cheapie DVDs.

Those DVDs were sold for ONE DOLLAR each.

Sometimes you would find rare films that other companies did NOT have. Those types of DVDs were sold almost everywhere.

Some companies sold their discs in cardboard envelopes, but most were sold in "slimline" style plastic cases.

To the best of my knowledge, most of those companies have gone out of business... And that's a shame...

The above movies are examples of ONE DOLLAR CHEAPIES... "BODY COUNT" AKA "CODENAME SILENCER" by PHASE 4 FILMS... "VICTIM OF BEAUTY" AKA "DROP DEAD GORGEOUS", and "WRONG NUMBER" both by KREATIVE DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT... "ZIPPERFACE", "MOONSTALKER" AKA "CAMPER STAMPER", and "THE UNWELCOMED" AKA "THE ARRIVAL", all three by GLOBAL MULTIMEDIA CORPORATION. FYI: All of them are packaged in cardboard envelopes.
