A woman - Theresa Russell's character - marries wealthy men that die soon after. She then inherits their money. That's how she survives. A federal cop - Debra Winger's character - goes undercover to catch her.

This type of story has been done a bazillion times, but I think this version is very entertaining. Why?... Because of Theresa Russell and Debra Winger. They really seem to be enjoying themselves, and that makes you enjoy the film even more.

I'll confess, I've always been fond of Theresa Russell. I thought she was hot, and I think she still is. Plus, she's got a great nude scene that takes place in a pool.

BLACK WIDOW was written by Ronald Bass, and directed by Bob Rafelson.
It stars a lot of familiar faces, such as, Theresa Russell, Debra Winger, Terry O'Quinn, James Hong, Leo Rossi, Mary Woronov, Dennis Hopper, Diane Ladd, and others.

Above is an ad for the VHS ( from July 1987 ).
This movie was released on VHS by CBS / FOX.
A region one DVD was released by FOX ( now out of print ).
As for BLU-RAY, it has been released by a company called TWILIGHT TIME.

I haven't seen this movie in a long time. So I was happy, when I found it on YOUTUBE.
I plan to record a DVD-R when it airs on ESCAPE TV in JULY 2016.
I remember Theresa Russell from a couple of films long ago, but this one doesn't ring a bell at all. Interesting...
