LIKE IT IS
DIRECTOR:
William Rotsler
NARRATOR:
Unknown
APPEARANCES BY:
The people are uncredited
You're about to take a trip to San Francisco during the 1960s.
While you're there, you'll meet, see, and hear, countless hippies.
You'll hear folks express their opinions about drugs, sex, life, and war.
These folks spend most of their time NAKED and HIGH. Fortunately, most of the females are sexy and natural.
It's 50 percent documentary, 50 percent experimental film, and 100 percent intriguing.
QUOTES BY NARRATOR: "While the nation was trying to decide whether the female breast was obscene, or to be seen, a thing called the flower-child was sprouting in the parks of San Francisco, and went on to grow and flourish in the cities of the world"
QUOTES BY HIPPIE MAN NUMBER 1: "How do I feel about money? I love it for what it does. But, I hate it for what it does. It's a fantastic tool. But that's all it is. But people worship it, and that's awful"
QUOTES BY HIPPIE CHICK NUMBER 1: "Everybody had clap"
QUOTES BY HIPPIE CHICK NUMBER 2: "Whenever I have a thing with a cat, it's love. It doesn't mean it's gonna last for more than an hour, but it's groovy, and I wouldn't be doing it, if I didn't get it, it's beautiful"
QUOTES BY HIPPIE CHICK NUMBER 3: "I took acid, and it drove me crazy, and I'm in here now, and I can't get out"
QUOTES BY HIPPIE MAN NUMBER 2: "Should be no mystique around drugs. All the mystique around drugs is induced by having to hide it"

DO I WANT MY MONEY BACK?:
HELL NO!!....
I loved every psychedelic, and hypnotic minute of it!
I highly recommend it!
A few times during the documentary, you see video of naked dancing chicks, fireworks, spirals, and other things, superimposed over other images, and accompanied by various types of instrumental music.
It's mesmerizing!
Most of the folks talk about subjects that are still relevant. Such as attitudes towards drugs, money, sex, sexually transmitted diseases, and war.
I would love to see an update. What happened to the folks in this film?
Are they still alive? If so, what became of them, and what are they doing now?
This documentary can be found on a DVD called DRIVE-IN GRINDHOUSE. The 4 film collection is by VCI, and has two single sided discs. The other films in the set are as follows; SUMMER SCHOOL, UP YOURS, and THE FARMER’S OTHER DAUGHTER.
LIKE IT IS is also known as PSYCHEDELIC FEVER, and also known as THE ENORMOUS MIDNIGHT.
