MOVIE ADS: SHARON KELLY aka COLLEEN BRENNAN

Screengrab of Colleen Brennan from the film ALICE GOODBODY aka GOSH

I recently listened to the RIALTO REPORT's audio interview with Ms. Brennan, and it was an absolute joy.

I don't know why, but listening to her laughter made me feel good.

You can hear her interview at their website ( see link below )

RIALTO REPORT WEBSTIE

It has become one of my favorite episodes.

I want to briefly mention four of her films...

Newspaper ad for LITTLE CIGARS - from June 4, 1973 ( St. Petersburg Florida U.S.A. )

I was never sure if the beautiful redhead in this movie was Ms. Brennan, or just wishful thinking on my behalf, but she verified it.

Her character has one or two lines, and that makes her appearance even more enjoyable.

Screengrabs of Colleen Brennan in LITTLE CIGARS

She looks so lovely, my youthful eyes were hypnotized by the sight of her.

I don't know if this movie was ever released on legit VHS in the United States.

Screengrab from LITTLE CIGARS... Look to the right of Angel Tompkins, see the expression on Ms. Brennan's face?... Wow... I wonder what she was thinking about.

LITTLE CIGARS was released via an official MOD-DVD by MGM. As I write this, it still has NOT been released on PRESSED disc... I think that's BULLSHIT!

Newspaper ad for INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS - from June 9, 1973 ( Milwaukee Wisconsin U.S.A. )

I was never one hundred percent sure, if Ms. Brennan was the woman on the motorcycle ( it was indeed her, she confirmed it ).

Screengrabs of Colleen Brennan from BEE GIRLS

Her character doesn't say anything. BUTT, at least we get to see her.

BEE GIRLS has been released far too many times, and on almost every format you can think of. Most of the DVD's you'll find, seem to contain a CUT / CENSORED version of this film.

Newspaper ad for ALICE GOODBODY aka GOSH - from Oct. 17, 1975 ( Toledo Ohio U.S.A. )

I don't remember much about this movie, other than Ms. Brennan was in it, and she was the main character. But, that was enough of a reason for me to watch.

Good luck trying to find a copy of this flick!

Screengrabs of Colleen Brennan from the film ALICE GOODBODY aka GOSH

I'm positive it was released on VHS, because I had a copy. However, I don't remember if it was a legit tape.

As far as DVDs are concerned, CODE RED released the ALICE GOODBODY version on pressed disc. Unfortunately, it's out-of-print.

I think another company may have released it on pressed DVD, but I don't remember the name of that company.

Newspaper ad for TRINITY BROWN - from Aug. 21, 1985 ( Niantic Connecticut U.S.A. )

I have not seen this movie since it was released on VHS!

Screengrabs of Colleen Brennan from TRINITY BROWN ( trailer )

Ms. Brennan played a beautiful cop, and that's all I remember.

I'm not sure, but I think TRINITY BROWN was released on VHS by CAL VISTA - remember them? I don't know if they're still in business, or if they used any other names.

As for DVD, I believe a company called VCX released it on pressed DVD ( in the United States ).

BLAZE STARR.....

Print ad for one of her burlesque shows ( Toledo U.S.A. 1975 )

As you may know, Blaze Starr died recently.

Ms. Starr seemed to have lived her life the way she wanted. How many of us will ultimately be able to say the same?

Newspaper articles about Blaze Starr

Blaze appeared to be a smart, no nonsense, strong-willed individual.

Ms. Starr had been on her own since her teens.

Screengrabs from the movie BLAZE

A movie about her, called BLAZE, was released in the late eighties. It starred Paul Newman, Lolita Davidovich, Jerry Hardin, and others. Even Ms. Starr appeared in it.

Print ad for one of her burlesque shows ( Miami U.S.A. 1981 )

Screengrabs from an interview with Ms. Starr

She looked fantastic!

Ms. Starr was the real deal, NO artificial flavors or fillers, if you know what I mean. She was also the kind of woman that could make a man stand-at-attention without taking off a single stitch of clothing!

Screengrabs from BLAZE STARR GOES NUDIST

She looks absolutely incredible in BLAZE STARR GOES NUDIST. It was made by one of my favorite filmmakers, Doris Wishman.

Print ad for one of her burlesque shows ( Montreal Canada 1964 )

Screengrabs of Blaze Starr in the film BUXOM BEAUTEASE

Ms. Starr also appears in a film called BUXOM BEAUTEASE, which was made by Irving Klaw.

Blaze Starr will always shine brightly.....

JURASSIC WORLD... THE DINOS ARE HAVING THE LAST LAUGH

RANT... Here we go again!...

ENOUGH ALREADY!

That's what I have to say to all the FUCKING-RETARD-FANATICS that keep calling JURASSIC WORLD a "sexist" film.... Are you fucking kidding me?! Were you all dropped on your heads when you were born?!

GET A FUCKING LIFE!

What about all those so-called "reality" shows that still exist?... You know, the ones that usually have a bunch of MONEY-HUNGRY-SLUTS throwing themselves at some KNUCKLE-DRAGGING-NEANDERTHAL... So, those types of shows are NOT worthy of criticism?

Most of the NONSENSE is originating from BRAIN-DEAD professional movie critics, and MAN-HATING FEMINISTS - are you surprised?

These folks want FANTASIES!... In their TWISTED MINDS, women should ALWAYS be portrayed as smart, brave, and saintly. While the men should always be played as heartless-cowardly-demons!

When was the last time one of these USELESS-DOUCHEBAGS got laid - with a consenting human adult?!

Why do so many of these idiots feel compelled to create a CONTROVERSY OVER NOTHING?!

It's ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!

Just for the record, I've never cared about any of the JURASSIC series of films. However, I did watch the first one. Why?... Because it was stupid escapist entertainment!... And there's NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!

When I read or hear, MAN-HATING FEMINISTS, movie critics, or SELF-LOATHING MALES attack this movie for the most ASININE REASONS imaginable, it makes my blood boil, AND it also makes me laugh.

When the word "misogynistic" is being aimed at a HARMLESS POP-CORN FLICK like this, you realize the people using it are truly FUCKED IN THE HEAD!

LUDICROUS criticisms only make people DEFEND IT, and WATCH IT!

I had NO intention of watching this flick. But all the CRYBABIES have motivated me to do so.

QUOTE from FORBES ( June 17, 2015 ) - "Box Office: 'Jurassic World' Tops $250M In 5 Days, Could Top $300M In A Week, $400M By Sunday"

QUOTE from VARIETY ( June 15, 2015 ) - "Revised Box-Office Figures Give 'Jurassic World' Biggest Opening of all Time, Topping 'The Avengers'"..... "Globally, Jurassic World became the first movie to cross $500 million in a single weekend"

Just wait till the DVDs and BLUs are released, they'll most likely smash sales records also.

TO ALL THE WHINERS.... This movie and the dinos, are LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK, and the audiences LOVE IT!

Once again, THE DINOS ARE HAVING, AND WILL HAVE, THE LAST LAUGH... AND NOBODY IS GOING TO REMEMBER THE CRITICS AND MAN-HATERS!.... So, EAT SHIT AND DIE!.....

AQUARIUS: SEASON ONE

I was really skeptical about this show, when I first found out about it. I was also expecting a sugar-coated, and cliched version of the sixties. Well, I was wrong.

Most of the characters are complex ( good and bad sides to them ), and that goes a long way to helping me think of them as real human beings.

AQUARIUS takes place during 1967.

A fictional version of charles manson is the main target of a cop, played by David Duchovny. However, not all of the crimes are releated to him.

As for the sixties, it's shown warts-n-all.... And that's a GOOD thing! The so-called "good old days" weren't good for everyone. The same is true of every decade, but especially the sixties and seventies. Why?... Because of all the changes that were taking place.

AQUARIUS has a really strong "in-your-face" attitude. You usually only see that on cable / satellite channel shows.

In the long-term, I think the first season of AQUARIUS will definitely become a cult classic.

MINI-RANT... The ratings system does NOT reflect reality, and never has. And yet, the "free" channels still worship the FALSE NUMBERS.

This is a beautiful looking show, it's extremely cinematic.

There are a lot of things about AQUARIUS that reminded me of David Fincher and James Vanderbilt's movie version of Robert Graysmith's book, ZODIAC.

I think AQUARIUS would make a great companion to ZODIAC.

The show even had a rendition of HURDY GURDY MAN in one episode.

Newspaper clippings about the abomination called manson... From 1971 top, 1984 middle, and 1985 bottom... It's a slap in the face to every decent human that he is still alive, has a roof over his head, food in his stomach, health care, and entertainment... all courtesy of the taxpayer. It's too bad he wasn't killed when someone set him on fire..... I feel the same way about his followers, and all the morally bankrupt people that support him.

AQUARIUS was written by various people.

The show was directed by various individuals, including John Dahl.

It stars.....

David Duchovny as Sam Hodiak

Grey Damon as Brian Shafe

Claire Holt as Charmain Tully

Gethin Anthony as charles manson

Also appearing are, Emma Dumont, Michaela McManus, Brian F. O'Byrne, Gaius Charles, David Meunier, Graham Beckel, Ambyr Childers, Tara Lynne Barr, Jodi Harris, and many others.

A truly wonderful job by everyone in front and behind the camera!

As I write this, you can watch AQUARIUS over-the-air on NBC ( on Thursday nights ), or you can view it online for FREE, at the NBC webstie. You can also watch it for free at the HULU website. Plus, the IMDB also has free episodes ( via HULU ). Whichever you choose, I recommend you watch it before the episodes disappear.

As for region one dvd... ANCHOR BAY will supposedly release the entire series soon... See quotes below...

"Anchor Bay to Distribute Uncensored 'Aquarius' on Disc" - Quote from HOME MEDIA MAGAZINE.com ( June 8, 2015 )

Note the word "uncensored", I was hoping there were two versions of the show, and appearantly there is.

BLOODRAGE - AKA NEVER PICK UP A STRANGER

This is not your average serial killer film, and I mean that in a GOOD way.

I've always had mostly positive feelings about this flick.

Please don't confuse most movies about serial killers with slasher flicks... If a serial killer movie is done correctly, there is a big difference between the two.

Screengrabs above - Beverly's house, Beverly, and Richard and Beverly

In rural Indiana, a young man named Richard goes to see a small town prostitute named Beverly Stevens. One thing leads to another, and before you know it, she's dead.

One of her customers is a cop called John Ryan. He appears to be in love with her. Why?... I don't know. Maybe, she's a prostitute with a heart of artichokes ( instead of gold ). I think she's just a used-up, VD-infested, money-hungry-bitch. To each their own, right?... ha-ha-ha.

After her murder, John TELLS his boss, he's going to New York on "vacation".

Meanwhile, Richard hitchhikes to New York city. He gets a room at a dilapidated building. He also calls his mother to inform her of his whereabouts. I might be mistaken, but I don't remember any mention of his father.

Richard kinda-sorta has a friendship with Candice, an older pill-popping female neighbor.

Screengrbs above, clockwise from top left corner, Richard ( or is it Kevin Arnold on ACID?... ha-ha-ha ), Richard getting laid, and the bottom two frames show Richard lusting after his next victim

While in his neighbor's kitchen, Richard looks out the window towards the building next door. He spots a beautiful female prostitute, and becomes obsessed with her.

Screengrab above - John and Tom

When John gets to New York, he makes friends with some local donut-holes, and tells them he's after Beverly's killer.

Just for the record, Richard does not appear to be sexually frustrated, because he gets laid. In fact, he appears to develop feelings for a young woman, until he finds out she's married.

The days roll by, and John is getting closer to finding Richard.

Screengrabs above show Nancy and one of her geeky customers

As for the ending, just know this, it's not often that you see a potential female victim use her mind and fight back.

There are a few scenes that I found unintentionally funny.

There's also some narration by Richard. Imagine Travis Bickle performing the narration for the WONDER YEARS. That's what I thought of, as I listened to Richard express his feelings.

I almost forgot to mention that Richard gets a job at a YOO-HOO factory!

How the hell did a serial killer flick get permission from YOO-HOO, to have it's main character work in one of their factories?!

Imagine the narrator of a YOO-HOO commercial saying, "Some of New York's youngest and most promising serial killers drink YOO-HOO!... Why?, because It gives them that special dose of energy they need!"

This movie actually appears to have been filmed in New York.

The rotten apple during the seventies was America's cesspool. Now it's America's corporate whorehouse. Which is worse?

I think this movie was well made, and I like it.

Writing credits go to Robert Jahn.

Directed by Joseph Zito

It stars.....

Ian Scott as Richard.

James Johnston as the small town cop John Ryan.

Rita Ebenhart plays his older female neighbor Candice, and her dog Ruby is played by ?

Betsy Ramlow plays Nancy, the fantasy girl from the building next door. Ms. Ramlow deserves MUCH MORE credit than she gets in this movie.

Judith-Marie Bergan plays Beverly. She's got an impressive list of credits. Tons of tv shows, theatrical films, and made-for-tv-movies.

Newspaper article on left is about Ms. Bergan and a tv show called DOMESTIC LIFE ( from Rome Georgia U.S.A. - Jan. 20, 1984 ).... Newspaper ad on the right, is for ABDUCTION starring Judith-Marie Bergan ( from Florence Alabama U.S.A. - Dec. 11, 1975 ).

And last but never least, Mr. Noir, Lawrence Tierney! He's got a good sized role in this movie. He plays Tom Malone, a New York city cop in charge of a local precinct.

I loved watching Mr. Tierney in countless noir / crime flicks when I was young. He was the real deal.

Newspaper blurb about Mr. Tierney's role in this movie ( from Sarasota Florida U.S.A. - July 10, 1980 )

VHS is how I first saw this movie, so I know for certain, that it was released on tape in the United States. But, I don't remember if it was a legit release.

I've never been able to find a pressed region one DVD. I've only seen shitty DVD-Rs for sale. If it's not on pressed disc, don't waste your money!

I hope MILL CREEK ENTERTAINMENT finds BLOODRAGE, and other rare films, and releases them as part of a new 50 pack of movies... but, I don't think that's going to happen.

You can find BLOODRAGE online for free, that's how I was able to watch it again, after all these years.

BLOODRAGE is also known as NEVER PICK UP A STRANGER ( I like this title more ).

If anyone reading this, has some FACT based "behind the scenes" information, please consider sharing your memories. I'd love to hear about the making of this movie.
