SEASON'S GREETINGS is a VERY short animated film made by Michael Dougherty. He's the same man that made the movie TRICK R TREAT.
I think, I saw this on PBS years ago.
It has become one of my favorite halloween films.
You can find SEASON'S GREETINGS on the TRICK R TREAT region one DVD ( by WARNER BROS ).
HASTA EL VIENTO TIENE MIEDO
PART 3 OF 3
HASTA EL VIENTO TIENE MIEDO - even the wind is afraid - is a Mexican supernatural flick. It's also one of my all time favorites.
It has a lot of genuinely creepy moments, and I love the writing, camera work, and performances.
At this point, I've given up hope of SONY ever releasing an official - and restored - region one DVD of this movie. Unless they release it as part of a BLU-RAY / DVD combo, I don't think it's going to happen.
FYI: Do NOT confuse the original version from the late 1960's with the REMAKE from the late 2000's!
I can't remember the name of the company that released it on VHS.
It's been released on region one dvd by ECHO BRIDGE, and also by EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT. Both appear to be OUT-OF-PRINT.
PART 2 OF 3
I don't like most new horror movies, but WIND CHILL is definitely an exception to the rule.
It's an old fashioned story with some genuine frights.
My affection for this film, only grows with every viewing.
It's available on region one DVD by SONY.
PART 1 OF 3
THE SHINING is one of my favorite films.
It's a true classic.
I still remember the first time I saw it.
It's easy to find on vhs and region one dvd.

Love this poster.
SWEET SUGAR is one of my FAVORITE women-in-prison flicks.
There's also a crazy doctor in the movie, and that only adds to the cheesy, and goofy goodness of the film.
Phyllis Davis is one of the most gorgeous women to ever appear on a movie, or TV screen!
I don't know if SWEET SUGAR was ever released on VHS.
As I write this, there is NO legit region one DVD. So, the only way to get SWEET SUGAR on disc, is via the following "grey-market" companies, J4HI, TRASH PALACE, and DESERT ISLAND FILMS.
I really like movies that take place in carnivals, especially this one.
THE FUNHOUSE captures the carny atmosphere perfectly. I love the seedy, and decrepit feeling you get from the carnival employees, exhibits, and rides.
This was one of my youthful favorites, and I still have VERY fond memories of it.
I've always liked Elizabeth Berridge, and she does a great job.
Kevin Conway plays several characters in this movie.
It was released on VHS by UNIVERSAL, and GOODTIMES also released it on tape.
Region one DVDs have been released by GOODTIMES, UNIVERSAL, and SHOUT FACTORY ( SCREAM FACTORY ).
SHOUT FACTORY ( SCREAM FACTORY ) is also releasing it on BLU-RAY.
This poster tells you everything you need to know about the main characters and the story.
TERMINAL ISLAND is a fun movie.
Tom Selleck plays a drug addict doctor, and Phyllis Davis plays a tough and smart lady.
I can NOT remember the company that released it on VHS.
TERMINAL ISLAND was released three times on region one DVD by a Canadian company called LEGACY. Their solo releases are supposedly CUT and butchered to FULLscreen.
LEGACY also released it as part of a double feature called HOLLYWOOD HOT SHOTS, and as part of a four movie set, also called HOLLYWOOD HOT SHOTS.
Another region one disc was released by a U.S. company called CODE RED. According to most folks, it's UNcut and WIDEscreen.
FULL FRONTAL outtakes of Phyllis Davis appear on a region one DVD called FAMOUS T&A ( released by FULL MOON ).
And many others.....
Carol Mallory the good twin ( Stepfanie Kramer )
Lynn Cameron the bad twin ( Stepfanie Kramer )
Det. Steve Delvaux ( Frederic Forrest )
Michael Mallory ( James Brolin )
Sophie ( Susan Almgren )
Carol and Lynn are identical twins. Unfortunately, they're exact opposites when it comes to dressing and certain types of "friendliness" ( wink, wink ).
Naughty twin Lynn, lives in Montreal Canada and is involved with some very unsavory characters. This gets her in some very deep shit.
Nice twin Carol, lives in Beverly Hills with her husband Michael.
Carol gets a phone call at 4:00 AM. It's Lynn's roommate Sophie, and She informs Carol, that Lynn has disappeared.
Carol goes to Canada to meet Sophie.
While she's there, Carol gets mistaken for her sister. She also finds out about Lynn's secret life as a prostitute.
Detective Steve Delvaux informs Carol, that Lynn is dead.
Shortly after, Sophie also ends up dead.
Carol masquerades as Lynn, and uncovers a conspiracy, that puts her life in danger. But that just seems to make her even more determined to find out the truth.
Even if it costs Carol her life.....
Sophie: "You don't get what you deserve in this life, you get what you negotiate"
Rich pervert: "Naughty girls must be punished!"
Carol: "He tried to kill me, he tried to kill me..."
Lynn: "Daddy gave you everything, he gave me nothing!"

I was surprised by how much I liked this movie.
Stepfanie "kick-ass" Kramer, is great as both Carol and Lynn. She makes the twins feel real.
This could have ended up being unintentionally hilarious, but it's not.
I loved the ending.
It feels like one of those "movies of the week" that were so popular back in the 70's and early 80's, except this movie has one set of BOOBS... hooray!, but they do NOT belong to Ms. Kramer... boo!... NOTE: The preceding, was NOT a criticism upon the beautiful bosoms that ARE on display!
I have no idea, if TWIN SISTERS was ever shown theatrically in other countries.
A VHS was released by VIDMARK.
The region one DVD was released by PLATINUM and is OUT-OF-PRINT.
Great art on this poster.
I still remember the first time I saw this. I had very low expections, but I ended up loving it.
Pamela Sue Martin is fucking fantastic! Her performance is truly wonderful. She really turns her character into a three-dimensional human being and as a result you end up caring what happens to her.
Christopher Lloyd is also great as a somewhat psychotic character.
Robert Conrad, Louise Fletcher, and Robert Forster are also in this movie.
Plus, as an added bonus you get some nice shootouts and some great nudity.
Last but not least, it was written by John Sayles.
I can not remember which company released this movie on VHS.
SHOUT FACTORY released THE LADY IN RED on region one DVD, as part of a double feature with CRAZY MAMA.
FYI: This movie is also known as GUNS, SIN AND BATHTUB GIN.

I saw this movie at a local drive-in, when I was young. It was part of a double feature. I can't remember what the other movie was, but I do remember the sights, sounds, and smells of the drive-in.
I also have vivid memories of Roddy McDowall ( 1928–1998 ).
There's a huge difference between scaring someone, and nauseating them, and many horror filmmakers don't seem to understand that.
I prefer supernatural flicks to other types of horror movies, because they tunnel into your mind, and stay there.
THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE was released on VHS by FOX.
It was also released as a solo DVD by FOX, and as part of a 4 movie collection ( also by FOX ).
I was minding my own business on the internet, when my innocent mind was suddenly corrupted with impure thoughts.
Let me explain, my eyes made contact with a picture of Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs playing with each other. It was posted on the MR. SKIN website.
Adorable Alison Brie's right boobie experienced a NIP-SLIP ( they have visual proof ).
The NIP-SLIP occurred in a special PIN-UP video made by GQ magazine.
The mini stag film is divided into three segments "PIN-UP SPECIAL", "FEATHERAMA", and "STRIP TEASE".
Hope you like the captures I made.....

Brant von Hoffman
Heather Elizabeth Parkhurst
cat ( unknown )
And many others....
Anastasia ( Stella Stevens )
Kelly ( Shannon Whirry )
Namon Ami ( Luca Bercovici )
David, Antoinette, Andrea, and Albert ( Brant von Hoffman, Heather Elizabeth Parkhurst, Patricia Sturges, and Sandy Helberg )
Amy and Junior ( Samantha Hendricks and Ryan Bollman )
Anastasia is an old, ill, and VERY rich widow. She lives in a big mansion with her granddaughter Kelly, who also cares for her.
Anastasia loves watching professional wrestling, but hates her kids and grandchildren. Well, Kelly is an exception to that rule.
Her sons, daughter-in-law, and two of her grandkids are a bunch of callous backstabbers that want Anastasia to die as soon as possible.
Did I mention that David and Antoinette - his niece - are having an affair?
They're a wholesome and fun-loving family.. ha-ha-ha.
Anyway, Anastasia gets a magic potion from a mysterious man named Namon Ami. This elixir, will give her eternal life. But, in order for it to work, she has to follow some rules. Of course, she breaks those rules.
In addition, David puts poison in her soup. A short time later, Anastasia eats her dinner and dies.
Soon after, her family receives their inheritance, and they all think their troubles are over.
Will Anastasia come back from the dead, and get revenge?... Of course!
Who will survive?.. You'll have to find out for yourself.
Possessed girl: "Put your head between my legs and lick me, I promise I have no teeth down there"
Anastasia: "For me, beauty is having a healthy bowel movement once a day"
Junior: "Mom?.. Do I have to kiss granny?.. cause she's so disgusting"
Anastasia: "The last time I felt anything like love from this family, it turned out to be gas"
Anastasia: "You!.. You're a load I shoulda swallowed!"
Kelly: "I HATE YOU ALL!"

DO I WANT MY MONEY BACK?:
I love every foulmouthed, severed limb, vile-fluid-gushing, boob-n-butt-baring minute of THE GRANNY!
It's been years, since the last time I saw this movie.
Gather-up a bunch of folks, grab some drinks, and call the pizza man, or preferably a gorgeous bikini wearing pizza woman... Hey, I can dream, can't I?...
Anyway, watch it with someone you love, or like, or hate... Hell, you can even watch it with your imaginary friends. If you think about it, this is the best scenario. Why?... because you wouldn't have to spend money on them. Anyway, just watch the movie!
A BIG salute to Luca Bercovici, Sam Bernard, Stella Stevens, Shannon Whirry and everybody else. Great job by everyone in front AND behind the camera!
THE GRANNY has shades of THE EXORCIST, RE-ANIMATOR, and THE EVIL DEAD. That's a GOOD thing!
The VHS is somewhat rare, and I don't know which company released it.
As of this writing, there is still NO legit region one DVD! So once again, your only choice is a "grey market" disc.

This is what posters should look like!
Even the title gets your attention.
I've noticed, that many indie video companies, have been producing some extremely nice GRINDHOUSE style art posters and DVD covers in recent years.
Meanwhile, most of the posters and DVD covers made by the major studios, look like they were designed by a bunch of lazy teenage shmucks that excel in PHOTOSHOP.
If the small companies can afford to hire artists, why can't they?
This is a RARE movie. I don't remember a lot about it, except that Candice Rialson (1951 – 2006 ), appears in it. I have very fond memories of her.
MAMA'S DIRTY GIRLS was released on VHS, but I can NOT remember the company that made it.
No legit region one DVD exists, so you'll have to get a "grey market" disc.
This is an excellent example of what a poster should look like.
Look at those ladies. They mean business!
The artwork tells a story, and it also makes you curious.
This is another hard to find flick.
I know it was released on VHS, but I can not remember which company made it.
Once again, this movie is NOT available via legit region one DVD. I've only seen "grey market" editions.
I don't remember very much about THE CRAZIES, and I'm not interested in watching it again. However, I do like the advertisement.
I'm also not fond of George Romero. But, there's no denying it, Mr. Romero is great at making zombie flicks.
Just for the record, I really like his first three DEAD movies.
I also like a NON-zombie movie he directed. It's called THERE'S ALWAYS VANILLA. It was written by Rudy Ricci. From what I understand, Mr. Romero is not fond of it. Oh well, I don't care what he thinks.
As for THE CRAZIES, it was released on VHS by VISTA HOME VIDEO. Another VHS was sold by ANCHOR BAY. I don't know if any other companies released it.
A region one DVD was released by BLUE UNDERGROUND.
"A picture is worth a thousand words"... that describes this poster perfectly.
When you look at it, you realize something significant about the main character.
WILD THING is a rare, and underrated flick.
When "wild thing" is VERY young, his parents are murdered.
He's found, and raised, by a homeless woman.
Years later, the uneducated child is now an adult. However, he's still "wild", and the "urban jungle" is his home.
I believe it was released on VHS by PARAMOUNT.
As of September 2012, there is still NO legit region one DVD of WILD THING.
The ONLY way to obtain this on DVD is via "grey market" disc.
THIS TV has aired WILD THING in the past. So keep checking your local tv listings!
This is a boring poster.
KILLER WORKOUT - aka AEROBICIDE - is a combo slasher flick, exercise video, and music video. Think of it, as an entertainment extravaganza... ha-ha-ha.
Are you going to watch this movie for the story? If the answer is yes, then I have one question for you... Did you receive a severe blow to the head recently?...
T&A should be the ONLY reason for watching this!
KILLER WORKOUT is dripping in sweaty 1980's cheesy goodness.
That's all you really need to know.
ACADEMY HOME ENTERTAINMENT released KILLER WORKOUT on VHS.
As far as I know, KILLER WORKOUT has never had a legit region one DVD release. I've only seen "grey market" discs for sale.

I have vivid memories of Carol Connors.
As a kid, I remember the first time I saw her in THE EROTIC ADVENTURES OF CANDY, and the sequel, CANDY GOES TO HOLLYWOOD.
She was extremely popular in my neck-of-the-woods.
She allegedly appeared in the TV show called CHIPS, but I don't remember seeing her.
She also appeared on the GONG SHOW many times.
Ms. Connors on the GONG SHOW... Can you spot Chuck Barris lurking in the background?
A news article about Ms. Connors appeared in the OCALA STAR-BANNER ( by Jay Sharbutt - Feb. 13, 1978 )... See quotes below...
"I didn't even know they had those types of movies, I was so naive"
"I guess the hardest thing for me to do was to take off my clothes in front of people I didn't know. But once I got past that, the rest was easy. And the rest is history"
FYI: She's allegedly Thora Birch's mother... Nobody can deny the resemblance, that's for certain.
I do NOT know which of her films were released on VHS.
However, many of her movies have been released on DVD, by the following companies ALPHA BLUE ARCHIVES, VCX, ARROW, ALTERNATIVE CINEMA, SOMETHING WEIRD, and a few others.
THE EROTIC ADVENTURES OF CANDY and CANDY GOES TO HOLLYWOOD were both released on DVD by VCX.
ALTERNATIVE CINEMA released DADDY'S RICH in a triple feature called DADDY'S GIRL.
