CENSORSHIP COMING TO BLOGGER.....
Below are quotes from BLOGGER's new photo and video "policies". See quotes below.....
"Adult content policy on Blogger"
"Starting March 23, 2015, you won't be able to publicly share images and video that are sexually explicit or show graphic nudity on Blogger"
"Note: We’ll still allow nudity if the content offers a substantial public benefit, for example in artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific contexts"
The last quote is truly laughable! It's so open to interpretation!
What the hell has happened to BLOGGER?!... It appears they've turned into the MORAL MAJORITY!
Say hello to the PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF AMERICA! Or say hello to the Christian equivalent of Saudi Arabia!... Either way, it's a NO win situation!
BLOGSPOT was one of the few blog hosting sites, where you were TRULY FREE to EXPRESS your self without fear of CENSORSHIP!
NOTE... It is NUDITY that is being TARGETED!... The new changes will NOT affect HATE GROUPS, or PHOTOS / VIDEOS of DEAD HUMANS, or ATROCITIES, or REAL VIOLENCE, or other types of TRUE OBSCENITIES!
Hey BLOGGER, be careful what you wish for.... You may end up becoming the next MY SPACE!
Well, I've got A TON of photos to delete folks.....

They're only digging their own grave with this. You hit the nail on the head regarding the policy being open to interpretation. Exactly who is deciding what "...offers a substantial public benefit, for example in artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific contexts"? If its the same repressive non-thinkers who came up with this new policy than I'm terrified of what they consider to be beneficial to the public!
ReplyDeleteAre they just persecuting Blogger? What about Google Image search results with "adult" content, or general Google searches in general? Are they going to painstakingly see to it that no porn site ever gets linked to again? How about YouTube also owned by Google? There are thousands of videos of full movies out the featuring explicit sexuality.
No matter what this is a massive fuck up on Google's part and I sincerely hope for a major backlash.
Yes Tom, you're correct.
ReplyDeleteBLOGGER / GOOGLE are such FUCKING HYPOCRITES!
It wasn't that long ago, when they did whatever the Chinese government wanted. All the while pretending to support FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION / FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
When TOYS-R-US banned all the BREAKING BAD items, most folks did NOT look at the BIG picture.
There are far TOO MANY fringe groups getting away with anything they want.
That sucks, really. Every day I trust Google less and less.
ReplyDeleteOk, so I deleted all the nudity from my blog pages.
ReplyDeleteThen I tried to delete the same photos from the "picasa" album, but they will NOT delete!
So, I don't know what to do now....
If this blog disappears, I don't know if I'll come back on ANY free webhost.
At this point, I'm REALLY FED UP with all the BULLSHIT!
Google just reversed their Blogger decision.
