DOLLAR TREE DVDS......
I found some more DVDs at one of my local DOLLAR TREE stores. Unfortunately, they only had a handful of discs left. As a consolation, I found some small tool boxes. Anyway, the titles are...
STRETCH - Kevin ( Patrick Wilson ) is a depressed limo driver and gambler. He owes six thousand dollars, and has until midnight to cough up the bucks or else.
He's also bummed-out about his girlfriend dumping him for a rich athlete.
Charlie ( Jessica Alba ) is one of his co-workers and current best friend. He doesn't know it yet, but she's going to play a much bigger role in his life.
Did I mention his conversations with a dead co-worker?
After picking up an eccentric millionaire, things take a really bizarre turn. The rich guy promises to give Kevin the money he needs to pay the gangster, but only if Kevin does what he wants.
At one point during the film, Kevin experiences a series of unfortunate events, and those scenes made me laugh a lot.
STRETCH stars, Patrick Wilson, Jessica Alba, Brooklyn Decker, James Badge Dale, Ed Helms, and many others.
FYI - Ray Liotta, David Hasselhoff, and Norman Reedus also make appearances in this film.

Jessica Alba is cute, but that's the only thing that I find appealing about her. I do NOT dislike her, but I've also never been impressed by her acting skills. I will say this, she does a good job in this film.
STRETCH is a wild ride. This movie put a genuine smile on my face, and the ending actually made me feel good.
I'm happy I found this flick.

BUNRAKU - I'll get right to the point, and say I did NOT like this movie. I know a lot of hard work went into this film, but I'm not going to lie about my feelings. I just could NOT get into this flick.
I liked the camera work and Visual Effects. But, I had NO emotional connection to the characters or the story. At times, it felt like I was watching a video game.
Plus, I can't stand Dummy Moore, excuse me, I meant to write Demi Moore. I should have read the credits before I purchased this disc - I could have purchased a big pack of cookies instead.

LOCKER 13 - I liked this film much more than I thought I would.
It's an anthology involving a special locker. As usual, I liked some stories more than others. That's just the way anthologies are.
Many familiar faces appear in LOCKER 13... Jon Polito, Jon Gries, Curtis Armstrong, and David Huddleston, to name just a few.

NOONER.....
It's been a long time since I last saw this goofy XXX flick. It's about a nerd named Hermie. He works for a high tech contraceptive company called PLATONIC INDUSTRIES.
The company has a mysterious boss that's never at the office - you'll find out why at the end of the movie.
Hermie's best friend is his computer. Al - Hermie's computer - gives him advice. But, the most amazing thing Al does, is allow Hermie to travel back in time. Yes, his computer is also a TIME MACHINE!
When Hermie goes back in time, he watches other employees engage in hanky-panky, which results in career advancements for some of them.
Is there a happy ending?... Kinda-sorta...
NOONER is harmless fun, and that's all that should matter.
NOONER stars, Scott Irish as Hermmie, Keisha as Veronica Gash, Tom Byron as Freddie, Sheena Horne as Belinda, Nina Hartley as Ms. Hill, and a few other familiar faces.
NOONER was released on VHS, but I don't remember the name of the company that sold it.
I'm almost positive this movie never had a legit DVD release ( at least not in the U.S.A. ). I've seen bootlegs, but I do NOT pay more than one dollar for most videos, and especially NOT for a DVD-R!
It's available online ( with and withOUT the sex ). I saw it on a few questionable websites ( as I write this, one of those websties is gone ).
MAD MEN.....
For those that don't know, MAD MEN is a tv series that aired on a cable channel called AMC.
I was given the season one set by a family member.
Season one has four discs ( 13 episodes ). The DVDs are housed in an illustrated cardboard foldout divided into five sections. Four sections have transparent plastic trays glued onto them. When you fold it back up, it fits into a clear plastic sleeve.
This set was released by LIONSGATE ( region one ).

DISC TWO - audio commentaries, advertising the American dream, pictures of elegance

When I was done watching the entire first season, I felt as if I had just finished reading a really great book.
I absolutely love this show. The writing, acting, camera work, costumes, and period props, are as close to perfect as you can possibly get. Truly amazing work.

I'm thinking about getting a hardcover called THE ART OF MAD MAX: FURY ROAD ( Abbie Bernstein - ISBN 9781783298167 ).
As I write this, the lowest price for a NEW copy of this book seems to be from HAMILTON BOOK.COM ( $12.95 ). I'm not sure when, or if, I'll get a chance to order it... Should I wait for the price to drop even more?
If anyone reading this owns a copy, please let me know about the quality of the binding, and photos.

I've wanted to express my feelings on everything that's been going on in regards to NAZI TRUMP and his JUNTA. However, I do NOT want to turn this blog into a political website. Having said that, NAZI TRUMP was a reality star, and his behavior - and the actions of his DELUSIONAL followers - AFFECT ALL OF US.
In regards to the BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION reaction to Kathy Griffin holding NAZI TRUMP'S FAKE HEAD, apparently, FREEDOM OF SPEECH only applies to NAZI TRUMP and the GOP.
Ms. Griffin's photo was NOT a threat, it was a statement. She expressed how countless MILLIONS of people are feeling. It may be ugly, but it's the TRUTH. Remember that word?... It's something TRUMP and the GOP are NOT familiar with!
If the roles were reversed, you know damn well, the GOP would be screaming "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" at the top of their lungs, and they would NEVER have apologized!
NAZI TRUMP and the GOP created this ULTRA VILE HATE FILLED atmosphere we are living in, and now it's coming back to haunt them!... And big surprise, they can't take, what they dish out!

NAZI TRUMP, the GOP, and THEIR FOLLOWERS, are ABOVE THE LAW!... Last year, when a GOP politician threatened Obama, the GOP did NOT care, and NOTHING happened to that politician.
Recently, a FUCKING LOWLIFE REPUBLICAN POLITICIAN from Montana, PHYSICALLY assaulted a reporter! Once again, NOTHING HAPPENED to the POLITICIAN. He was NOT arrested!
Yet another AFTERBIRTH GOP POLITICIAN, from Texas, threatened to SHOOT a fellow politician, and he also did NOT get in trouble for it!
NAZI TRUMP and most of the GOP, are leaving a LEGACY OF HATE, INCOMPETENCE, CORRUPTION, and STUPIDITY, that has never been seen in this nation before.
THE BAD GUYS WIN!... at least for now.....
P.S. - Since before the 2016 election, I've been receiving unusual amounts of visits from Russia. I've also been getting visits from some countries that are NOT known for their love of pop-culture. This has me WORRIED. Those visitors could be regular folks with NO malice in mind, but you know as well as I do, that given recent events, those visits are probably NOT from friendly folks.....
