MOVIE ADS: DEEP THROAT

In 1978, I finally saw DEEP THROAT on bootleg VHS.

I remember thinking, "so what was all the fuss about?!".... I mean, I saw the same shit in the alleys that were located behind the bars!... ha-ha-ha...

Obviously, it was about freedom of speech.

Regardless of what the fanatics claimed, this movie was NOT evil, and it was NOT the end of civilization.

This movie changed a lot things, mostly for the BETTER... And that's the TRUTH, like it or not!

Harry Reems became a whipping-boy and unintentional hero.



My feelings about the main cast.....

When I was a kid, I couldn't understand why some folks thought Linda Lovelace was attractive. In my opinion, she was extremely homely. Years later, her "victim" act, only intensified her ugliness. I never had any amount of respect for her.

At least Carol Connors had a goofy charm about her. She also had a smokin'-hot body, and most importantly, she NEVER went around blaming others for HER choices in life ( at least, not in public ).

As for Harry Reems, he seemed to be the only major star of this movie that had any grain of true talent flowing through his veins. The way he was treated was a crime.



PART II....
Yes, there was a sequel. It was rated R. As with most sequels, the less said the better.



INSIDE DEEP THROAT.....
I have mixed feelings about this documentary, but I still recommend it.

If I remember correctly, the official DEEP THROAT VHS was released the same year STAR WARS hit theaters. It was expensive. Even if I had the money, I could NOT have legally purchased it in a store. So the following year, I got a BOOTLEG VHS from one of the locaL swap-meets ( they didn't care about my age ).

It's been released on BOOTLEG DVD many times. However, the only official release that I know of, is by a company called ARROW.

As for INSIDE DEEP THROAT, it was released on region one DVD by UNIVERSAL.

ONE LAST THING.....

Censorship is NOT a thing of the past, that battle will NEVER be over!

Am I saying that ANYTHING GOES?... No, of course not!

MOST censorship is ABSURD!... Read on...

There are places in the United States, that are still BANNING BOOKS from public libraries, and public schools! This is INSANE and completely UNACCEPTABLE!... Those folks do NOT deserve to be living in this country!

Plus, you have far more subtle, and in some ways more dangerous, forms of censorship.



Look at the two photos of Jennifer Love Hewitt above.... On the second picture, most of her cleavage has been eliminated!



Now look at these two DVD covers... See a difference?.... The one on the right has been altered significantly. She's now wearing some sort of body stocking and it's MUCH darker!... WHAT THE FUCK?!

Last time I checked, the name of this country is the United States of America, NOT the Saudi States of America!... Or the People's Republic of America!
