BEAVER STREET: A HISTORY OF MODERN PORNOGRAPHY

I have NOT read this book. However, I've heard the author - Robert Rosen - in several interviews, and his book sounds extremely interesting.

It's about Mr. Rosen's experiences working in the porn industry. It's also about the people, places, and events of that era.

I don't know if the book is illustrated.

This book should appeal to anyone that loves GRINDHOUSE era movies, books, and periodicals.

BEAVER STREET is divided into the following sections.....
"Authors Note"
"Prologue A Kid in a Candy Store"
"How I Became a Pornographer"
"The Invention of Phone Sex"
"I Found My Job in The New York Times"
"High Society"
"The House of Swank"
"The Secret History"
"Natural-Born Pornographers"
"The Accidental Porn Star"
"Divas with Beavers"
"So You Want to Talk About Traci Lords?"
"The D-Cup Aesthetic"
"Epilogue The Skin Mag in Cyberspace"
"Final Words The Naked and the Dead"
"Appendix A Prelude to Modern Pornography"
"About the Author/Acknowledgments"

  1. The original UK edition is illustrated, and the publisher, Headpress, may still have a few on hand. Write to them directly at worldheadpress.com/contact-13.html if you want one of those. It's a genuine collector's item. The current US, UK, and e-book editions are not illustrated.
