MOVIE THEATERS: PART ONE

PART 1 OF 2

Just once, I'd like to see a documentary, or several documentaries, about THEATERS!... AND about the theater owners, and employees.

I'd also like to see stories about SMALL TOWN theaters.



I find it extremely annoying, that documentaries about the grindhouse era, focus solely on New York. They never talk about Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Chicago, Boston, and other cities.

They also never mention cities in Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, New Zealand, and South Africa... And I almost forgot about Europe, Philippines, and Japan.

They also pay far TOO MUCH attention on the people in front of the camera.

It would be great to hear from the folks that put together the advertising materials - such as, theater displays, posters, press books, radio ads, and trailers.

As I said before, more attention needs to be focused on other cities in the United States, AND other countries.



How much censorship and harassment took place at theaters in other cities and countries?

There's a zillion stories we're NOT hearing!



FYI: The Jayne Mansfield movie called PROMISES! PROMISES! was confiscated from some theaters in the United States... and some of the employees were arrested.
